Moroccan Trucker Arrested on A7 for 2-Ton Overload, Multiple Violations

Checked by the gendarmes of Valence and displaying two tons more than expected, a truck driver of Moroccan nationality was arrested for overloading.
Two tons too much, compared to the regulatory weight. This is the offense charged to the Moroccan truck driver, clearly overloaded, this Monday, July 22, 2019, on the A7 motorway. Intercepted at the level of Valence, the driver was arrested. His truck and trailer, whose authorized gross vehicle weight was 10 tons, actually weighed 12 tons.
Five other offenses were also recorded in total. For this offense, the Moroccan will have to pay 5 x 90 €, or 450 €. His truck is immobilized until it is lightened.
The person concerned, to explain the overload of the vehicle, put forward reasons related to the move of his brother from Switzerland to Morocco. However, the investigators suspect a case of hidden transport and work.
