Moroccan Translation School Suspends Professor Following Sexual Harassment Complaint

The management of the King Fahd School of Translation based in Tangier has suspended a professor after a student filed a complaint for sexual harassment against him.

A new case of sexual harassment in Morocco. This time, it is the King Fahd School of Translation based in Tangier that is at the heart of a sexual scandal. A student filed a complaint for sexual harassment against one of her professors on December 23. On Thursday, the school received this complaint and immediately took responsibility. "The professor was immediately suspended and replaced," assures Noureddine Chemlali to TelQuel, adding that at the King Fhad school, it is "zero tolerance for this type of behavior".

The alleged misconduct of the teacher dates back to December 16, 2021. He would have told the student that she would not validate her year. She approached him to get more information. That’s when he asked her for her phone number. Subsequently, the professor called her on the phone and "asked her to meet him near the school after class so they could go somewhere," a witness told TelQuel.

The student took care to record the call. According to another witness, the teacher would have shown a pornographic clip to his victim in class and told her: "I want you to do these positions for me".
