Moroccan TikTok Star Found Shot Dead in Tangier Apartment, Sparking Calls for Justice

Tangier is in shock after the death of Anouar, a young student known on TikTok. His lifeless body was found in his apartment. Moroccans are demanding justice for the victim’s family.
On Saturday, this 20-year-old man who was studying at the Faculty of Science in Tangier was found dead by his mother who came to visit him in his apartment located near the university area of the city. Alerted, the security services arrived on the scene, where they found Anouar Othmani shot dead in his own apartment located in the Mesasna district. An investigation is underway to determine the causes and circumstances of the death.
The death of this 20-year-old man, known on the social network TikTok, has caused an outcry throughout the city and on the Internet. On social networks, they have expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the victim’s family through various hashtags, including #JusticeforAnouar and #WeAreAllAnouar. They condemned this "odious" murder and demanded justice for the deceased’s family. They also called for the perpetrators to be given the harshest sentence provided for by the Moroccan Penal Code: life imprisonment or the death penalty.
