Judge Summons Witnesses in Tangier Student Death Investigation

The investigating judge at the Court of Appeal has summoned all the witnesses who were close to the 20-year-old student found dead in his apartment in the Mesnana district of Tangier. Objective: to lift all the gray areas surrounding this file.
The investigating judge at the Court of Appeal is seeking to lift all the gray areas surrounding the investigation opened for "voluntary homicide, theft and concealment of crime" and for "participation in theft and concealment of elements related to the crime" following the discovery of the lifeless body of Anouar Othmani in his apartment in the Mesnana district. It is a question of knowing how a third party could have disposed of the access codes to delete several accounts belonging to the victim on social networks the night of the murder, to determine if anyone could have accessed the victim’s home after his death and proceed to the concealment of other evidence, to know the nature of the relationship that linked the deceased to the 17-year-old girl accused of the student’s murder.
According to sources close to the investigation, friends and acquaintances of the young student, most of whom appeared in his company in social media posts, have already been questioned, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Akhbar. What’s next? The investigating judge will transfer the file to the criminal chamber in order to open the trial.
