Moroccan Surgeon Performs Country’s First Hydraulic Penile Implant Surgery

Morocco is taking a giant step in the treatment of certain pathologies. A urological surgeon in Marrakech has just successfully performed the first operation to install a "hydraulic penile implant".
The intervention, which took place in a private clinic, under the supervision of Dr. Omar El Mansouri and his medical team, was crowned with success and should allow the patient to resume normal sexual activity.
"I am very happy to share with you the success of the installation of a hydraulic penile implant for the treatment of sexual impotence. This technology allows our country and our city to join the developed countries in this field," he said on Facebook.
The installation of the "hydraulic penile implant", a last resort solution for the correction of erectile dysfunction, is distinguished from other modern prosthetic models used in the treatment of sexual impotence, by results similar to natural erection.
With a lifespan of 10 years, hydraulic implants allow erection to be induced by a simple pressure on the scrotal pump.
