Moroccan Surf Village Taghazout Joins London, Seoul and Tahiti on FlightHub’s 2026 List
Taghazout is among the ten destinations highlighted by Canadian platform FlightHub in its 2026 annual report. The village near Agadir joins London, Seoul and Tahiti thanks to a travel experience centred on surfing, the outdoors and a laid-back pace.

In this selection, each destination embodies a mood. London represents “non-stop” travel, Seoul an “electric” energy and Taghazout a “laid-back” stay. FlightHub chose the Moroccan village for what visitors go there to do, but also for how they spend their days.
Surfing is central to the choice. The former fishing village has become a renowned destination on the Atlantic coast, with a whole scene of cafés, social gatherings and outdoor activities growing around it.
The platform highlights the rise of skateboarding, including the skatepark on the hill, as well as yoga retreats and the presence of a young creative community. It describes an increasingly international atmosphere that retains its laid-back character.
Ten destinations, ten ways to travel
Taghazout is the only Moroccan destination on the list. It shares the selection with the Icelandic village of Seyðisfjörður, Sarandë in Albania, Ilha Grande in Brazil, Montréal, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, Tahiti, Seoul and London.
The destinations are brought together by the variety of experiences they offer. Against Montréal’s festivals, Buenos Aires’s lively neighbourhoods and London’s many activities, Taghazout offers waves and life by the sea. FlightHub organizes its selection around these different rhythms, without ranking the destinations.
The choice comes alongside other signs of interest in Morocco in the report published on 29 September. During the period studied, from October 2025 to August 2026, bookings to Casablanca rose by nearly 250% among Canadian travellers compared with the same period a year earlier.
The Agadir region also benefits from direct access from Canada. Air Transat launched its Montréal–Agadir route this summer, bringing Québec travellers closer to the beaches and surf villages along the coast.
Taghazout offers them precisely this combination: accessible surf spots, a skatepark, yoga sessions and cafés where they can extend the day after leaving the water.
