Air Transat launches a direct Montreal - Agadir route starting June 2026

As part of its summer 2026 program, the North American airline Air Transat announces the launch of a direct connection between Montreal and Agadir, strengthening its presence in Morocco.

To meet the growing demand from Moroccans of the Moroccan diaspora in Quebec, Air Transat will connect the city of Montreal to Agadir, Morocco, between June 12 and October 23, 2026. The North American airline will operate this route every Friday with an Airbus A321LR. This direct line complements the one already operated to Marrakech by Air Transat.

Agadir, a seaside city renowned for its beaches, is a popular destination for vacationers seeking sun or water sports enthusiasts, and Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) wishing to spend the summer holidays with their loved ones. Travelers will be able to discover the Kasbah of Agadir, which offers a breathtaking view of the bay, as well as the Souk El Had, a lively market where local crafts and traditional Moroccan flavors mingle.

For the summer of 2026, Air Transat announces two other transatlantic routes: Quebec-Marseille and Ottawa-London-Gatwick. Elected Best Leisure Airline in the World in 2025 by Skytrax, the North American company also plans to increase the frequency of flights from Toronto to Berlin, Lima and Istanbul to three per week, strengthening interconnectivity via Toronto thanks to an agreement with the regional airline Porter Airlines.
