Moroccan Student Fatally Stabbed with Screwdriver in Dorm Dispute

A student, about twenty years old, succumbed to a deep head injury after being attacked by one of his classmates in Tafraout. The alleged aggressor was arrested and placed in custody for the needs of the investigation opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
A dispute would have broken out between two computer science students enrolled at the Institute of Applied Technology. The scene took place in a dwelling they shared in Tafraout, reports the daily Al Akhbar Al Maghribia. Armed with a screwdriver, one stabbed the other to death. Alerted, the local authorities and the royal gendarmerie arrived at the scene. The victim, originally from the Ida ou Tanan region, was rushed to the resuscitation department of the Hassan Iᵉʳ hospital in Tiznit. A few days later, he succumbed to his injuries.
The aggressor, originally from Inchaden, in the province of Ait Baha, was arrested. Pending the elucidation of this crime, he was placed in custody for the needs of the investigation opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office.
