Moroccan Striker En-Nesyri Leads Sevilla to 3-0 Europa League Victory over PSV Eindhoven
Youssef En-Nesyri was one of the architects of Sevilla’s victory (3-0) over PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of the Europa League preliminary round, scoring the team’s first goal.
In a post-match interview, the player said that scoring goals "gives him satisfaction" and "contributes above all to the team."
Back from an excellent performance at the World Cup in Qatar, En-Nesyri has scored a total of ten goals for Sevilla this season, across all competitions.
Stating that every game is important, the Moroccan took the opportunity to thank the fans and his teammates for their support, adding that he is working hard to remain focused on his mission to score. Regarding the return match in Eindhoven next week, he acknowledged that the 3-0 lead gives a little more serenity.
Since his return from Qatar, En-Nesyri has become an important asset for the Andalusian team again. Targeted by several clubs, notably in England, the Moroccan had declined the offers and stated that he wanted to stay at Sevilla and help them climb back up. "The club needs me in these difficult times."
