Moroccan Striker Ezzalzouli Eyes Saudi League Move Amid Betis Struggles
Abdessamad Ezzalzouli could bid farewell to Betis this summer. The Moroccan striker is eyeing the Saudi league.
Betis wants to part ways with Abde Ez to secure the services of Luis Rioja from Alavés during the summer transfer window, according to Radio Marca Valencia cited by Qué! Arrived at Betis last summer, the Moroccan international has failed to gain Pellegrini’s trust.
Ezzalzouli, who is not in the Chilean coach’s plans, has spent more time on the bench than on the field this season, even though he played the last few minutes of the last match against Osasuna.
Despite this poor performance, the Moroccan striker remains in high spirits and wants to establish himself at Betis. "I want and I will succeed at Betis. And next year will be the best season of my life," he said.
Betis paid more than seven million euros to Barça to acquire Abde last summer. But the Atlas Lion does not seem to meet the club’s expectations, which wishes to get rid of him this summer. Abde could ultimately join the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, whose offer he had already declined.
