Moroccan Stars Opt for Gulf Clubs in Winter Transfer Window

Several Moroccan internationals have changed clubs and championships during the winter transfer window. While some have remained in Europe, others have chosen to leave the continent to relaunch their careers in the Gulf.
The transfer that will have caught the attention is that of Hakim Ziyech. The 31-year-old Moroccan striker, who was on the radar of several European and Gulf clubs, has finally joined the Qatari club Al-Duhail. Persistent rumors had assured the finalization of his transfer to Al-Nasr, an Emirati club with which he would have found an agreement. After a bad spell at Galatasaray, the Atlas Lion is looking to regain his best level and relaunch his career.
Tarik Tissoudali, another Moroccan striker, has just been loaned by the Greek club PAOK Salonika to the Emirati club Khor Fakkan for half a season. A transfer deemed disappointing by some observers, highlighting the differences between the Greek and Emirati championships and that Khor Fakkan is on the verge of relegation.
