Moroccan Midfielder Adel Taarabt Joins UAE League Leaders Sharjah

After his recent departure from Al-Nasr, the Moroccan player Adel Taarabt has just signed, as a free agent, with the Sharjah club, leader of the Emirati championship.
Sharjah announced this Sunday the signing of the Moroccan player on its social networks. "We welcome the Moroccan star Adel Taarabt to the ranks of the Kings. He joins the Sharjah team to strengthen the team in the challenges to come. Welcome to your new home, oh artist of Morocco," wrote the Emirati club on its official X account.
By mutual agreement with Al-Nasr, the former Moroccan international recently terminated his contract with this club, which he had joined in the summer of 2022 for a three-year contract. Under the colors of Al-Nasr, he participated in 11 league matches this season, during which he scored seven goals and provided three assists.
Adel Taarabt is an experienced player. At the age of 35, he has proven himself in several European championships, notably at Tottenham in England, AC Milan in Italy and Benfica in Portugal. Now, he will put this rich experience at the service of Sharjah. The club, leader of the Emirati championship with 34 points, faced Baniyas this Monday in the semi-final of the President’s Cup.
