Moroccan Stars Amrabat, Ounahi Seek New Clubs as Transfer Deadline Looms

As the summer transfer window is about to close in a few days, the future remains uncertain for Moroccan internationals such as Sofyan Amrabat, Azzedine Ounahi, Sofiane Boufal or Achraf Dari.
What will be the next destination for Sofyan Amrabat, Azzedine Ounahi and Sofiane Boufal and Achraf Dari? These Moroccan internationals have still not found a club as the summer transfer window will close on September 1st. After the end of the loan, Sofyan was hoping to extend his adventure with the Red Devils, but Manchester United refused to activate the purchase option. Since then, he has been looking for a new opportunity in one of the European elite clubs. His agents have offered his services to Atlético de Madrid, who are looking to strengthen their midfield after the complication of Conor Gallagher’s transfer from Chelsea.
Azzedine Ounahi is also going through a bad patch. Revelation of the 2022 World Cup with Morocco, the midfielder has not been able to establish himself at Marseille, notably due to injuries. He is not in the plans of the new coach, Roberto De Zerbi. The latter does not count on him for the new season. The 24-year-old player has received offers from Saudi clubs, but he seems to prefer to stay in Europe. So far, he has not yet found a club.
The future of Soufiane Boufal is also uncertain. While he wishes to leave Al Rayyan in Qatar before the closing of the summer transfer window, he has received only a few offers: a loan proposal from Al Ahly in Egypt. The 30-year-old player has exceptional individual skills. He therefore needs a club that can offer him a competitive environment to regain his former level.
Moroccan central defender Achraf Dari, who is about to leave the French club Brest, is still awaiting a European offer, particularly from Charleroi in Belgium, with whom he played on loan last season. He is on the radar of the Egyptian club Al Ahly, who are looking to compensate for the departure of their defender Mohamed Abdelmonem, but the 25-year-old player is not tempted by an adventure in Egypt.
