Moroccan Star Hakim Ziyech Donates to Ex-Player Injured in Accident

A player with a big heart. Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech did not hesitate to dig into his pocket by making a large monetary donation to a former professional player who was the victim of a serious road accident.
Dutch player Leon de Kogel was the victim last summer of a serious road accident in Malta. The injuries sustained during the tragedy did not allow him to return to football, which has led to serious financial problems for him and his family, reports the Nos channel. However, Moroccan player Hakim Ziyech has been of great help to him in overcoming his difficulties.
On Monday, during the match between the Utrecht and G.A. Eagles teams in the second division, two of De Kogel’s former teams, the supporters organized a fundraiser to help the former footballer cover medical expenses and above all move forward and pay off his debts. In total, 24,000 euros were collected and the Moroccan player wanted to participate by bringing "a large sum".
"He told me he wanted to give a little money so I could move forward. Ziyech is not only the best player in the league, he is also a player with a big heart," commented the player.
