Moroccan Star Dounia Batma’s Lawyer Alleges Leaked Verdict in Appeal Case
Abdellatif Bouachrine, lawyer for Moroccan star Dounia Batma, claims that the trial of his client is tainted with irregularities. The final verdict of the court of appeal would have leaked two weeks before the hearing.
During a press conference held on Sunday, the Bar Association of the Order of Lawyers of Marrakech stated that the verdict, which is an exact copy of the one handed down at first instance, contains several anomalies in terms of analysis and justification.
To confirm the validity of his accusations, Dounia Batma’s defense filed a request to open an investigation on the subject, knowing, according to him, that third parties would have become aware of the final verdict 15 days before the date of the trial.
Abdellatif Bouachrine also presented the report of the court of appeal, which decided to prosecute Dounia Batma only for the offense of insults. As for her link with the Hamza mon bb account, the judge ruled a dismissal.
