Moroccan Star Amrabat Faces Backlash After Jersey-Throwing Incident in Saudi League Match

Moroccan player Nordin Amrabat was strongly criticized on social networks after throwing his jersey to express his dissatisfaction following his substitution. It was on Saturday, September 5, during the match between Al Nassr and Al Ittihad.
The Al Nassr supporters did not spare the Moroccan international on social networks. They described his gesture as disrespectful and thoughtless. Throwing the team’s jersey just for being replaced. Faced with the discontent of the latter, the player hastened to explain his gesture on Twitter.
While apologizing profusely, Nordin Amrabat explained that his intention was not to attack the jersey, a symbol of pride for the club and its supporters. "The images circulating on the web are not worthy of our colors," he assured.
