Moroccan Star Amine Harit Likely Out of World Cup and Season After Severe Knee Injury

The first news concerning Amine Harit, who was substituted due to injury during the match that pitted Olympique de Marseille against AS Monaco on Sunday, is not good. The medical examinations suggest a likely end of the season for the Atlas Lion.
The Moroccan international left the pitch in the 58th minute of the match, following a violent clash with Monaco defender Axel Disasi. He is said to have twisted his knee and was evacuated on a stretcher in tears.
Pending further medical examinations, the 25-year-old midfielder is said to be suffering from a ruptured cruciate ligament in his left knee. The meniscus and the collateral ligament would also be affected, reveals Le Phocéen.
This injury could mean the end of the season for the player who has become an important element of Igor Tudor’s system, the newspaper suggests. A blow also for the Atlas Lions, just days before the World Cup in Qatar.
