Moroccan Soccer Star Arrested at Casablanca Airport for Alleged Human Trafficking

A Botola star has been arrested and has been in the Oukacha prison for a few days for his involvement in an illegal immigration network. Caught in the act, he will be brought before the Court of First Instance of Casablanca this Friday.
The Congolese international, Mukoko Batezadio, had been arrested at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, while trying to illegally take his daughter out of Morocco to the Italian capital, Rome.
According to Albatal.ma initially, the Congolese player, who had presented himself at customs with his daughter, had two plane tickets for the capital of the DRC, Kinshasa. However, once through customs, Batezadio would have entrusted his daughter to a third party who was about to board a flight to Italy.
To pull off his stunt, the former striker of the AS Vita club had taken care to book her a ticket to Rome with "forged travel documents". Arrested by the airport police, he will be transferred to the Casablanca Police Headquarters. Later, the investigations revealed that the Congolese player is a member of an illegal immigration network.
This Friday, Mukoko Batezadio will be brought before the Court of First Instance of Casablanca.
