Congolese Soccer Player Sentenced in Morocco for Attempted Illegal Immigration

Accused of being a member of an illegal immigration network, the Congolese player of Ittihad de Tanger, Mukoko Batezadio, is now free to move around since Thursday, November 8, 2019. The Congolese striker was nevertheless sentenced to two months in prison with a suspended sentence.
Incarcerated since October 30 at the prison of Oukacha, Mukoko Batezadior was tried on Friday.
The professional player was arrested at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca after trying to illegally transport his daughter from Morocco to Rome. At the end of his trial, which lasted nearly three hours, the 27-year-old former AS Vita Club member was informed of his fate.
Thanks to the intervention of the officials of his club, who paid his bail, the Congolese player left prison after spending about ten days there.
According to his agent, Eric Nado, Mukoko Batezadio should take the train on his way out of prison to return to Tangier.
It should be noted that the striker of the Detroit club joined Ittihad in January for two and a half seasons.
