Moroccan Soccer League Climbs to 24th in Global Rankings, 3rd in Africa
The Botola is ranked the 3rd best football championship in Africa in 2022 and 24th worldwide, gaining 6 places compared to the previous year.
According to the ranking unveiled by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), the Moroccan football championship is still in the continental top 3, ranking behind Egypt and Algeria.
On the other hand, at the global level, the Botola has progressed in the ranking, now occupying the 24th place. This ranking is dominated by the Brazilian Serie A, elected the best championship in the world, at the top for the second time in the history of the annual IFFHS ranking launched since 1991.
This ranking of the best championships in the world, brings together the 80 championships of the five continents, specified the institute.
