Moroccan Singer Hatim Idar Addresses Fatal Car Crash Allegations

On the sidelines of a press conference concerning his artistic works, Hatim Idar, as well as his lawyer, provided explanations regarding the accident he was involved in and which caused the death of three women.
According to the mother of one of the victims, who gives her version of the accident: "He chased her to force her to talk to him, which provoked her anger. At that moment, she called a friend to tell her about her misadventure before Hatim Idar violently hit her car. My daughter and her two friends, the only ones who could tell the truth, were unfortunately killed. The singer, on the other hand, is still alive and can tell the version that will seem good to him." The accident occurred two months ago, last January, at the level of the Moulay Abdallah complex, and cost the lives of three women when the singer Hatim Idar was seriously injured in the back and head.
On the other hand, Hatim Idar’s lawyer, Redouane Rami, explains things differently: "it’s just an accident and my client wasn’t driving at high speed. The proof is that there is a checkpoint at the entrance to Rabat. The vehicle of the deceased women had slid 10 or 20 meters before the accident. Which proves that it came out of the road and then came back. Coming back, the vehicle of the three women collided with Hatim Idar’s car, on his left. If he was driving fast, his car would have overturned. But he was able to control his vehicle and stopped." And there would be other evidence exonerating his client in the hands of the authorities.
At the beginning of the press conference, Hatim Idar asked those present for a minute of silence in memory of the deceased in this accident. He then went on to say: "I wanted to clarify things about this tragedy that could have happened to anyone. I have always respected the law and the highway code. The artist must be an example for all citizens. The victims could be our sisters or our loved ones, I put myself in their place and my heart is with their families. They are going through a difficult time, that’s for sure. May the souls of the victims rest in peace."
