Morocco’s King Mohammed VI to Cover Funeral Costs for Moulay Bousselham Crash Victims

King Mohammed VI has decided to fully cover the funeral and burial expenses of the victims of the accident that occurred yesterday morning near the town of Moulay Bousselham.
Contrary to what was initially announced, the death toll is not 14 people but 9 people. As for the injured, the figures are now set at around thirty, with 9 in critical condition. These details come from the Minister of Health in a statement to the press.
Anas Doukkali also said that all the injured have been transferred to the main hospitals in the region, namely Souk Larbaâ, Kénitra and Larache, while the most serious cases have been evacuated to the military hospital in Rabat.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, but according to witnesses, a truck collided head-on with a car carrying agricultural workers. In Morocco, unfortunately, it is not uncommon to see passengers in pickups and trucks without any protection.
It should also be noted that the sovereign has sent messages of condolence and compassion to the families of the victims and the injured in the accident.
