Moroccan Singer Faces Backlash for Praising Royal Princesses on Social Media

Pending the opening of her trial, scheduled for February 10, Dounia Batma is busy praising the princesses. An attitude that has drawn the attention and wrath of Internet users.
On the occasion of the birthday of Lalla Oum Keltoum, the wife of Prince Moulay Rachid, the controversial star has once again sought to distinguish herself by posting a congratulatory message accompanied by the princess’s photo.
"Happy birthday to Princess Lalla Soukayna," followed by another message, this time addressed to Lalla Keltoum: "Every year, you are the most distinguished of the most beautiful, Lalla Keltoum."
The post earned her, according to the site Akhbarona, a flood of criticism and reproaches from Internet users, apparently shocked by her audacity to mention the princesses in the midst of a very delicate judicial situation that compromises her career.
Dounia Batma, and her sister Ibtissam, are accused, as part of the Hamza mon bb case, of blackmail on social networks and defamation. A scandal that has splashed a panel of personalities, some of whom are the subject of arrest warrants.
