Moroccan Pop Stars Face Court in High-Profile Cyberbullying Case

The hearing of sisters Dounia and Ibtissam Batma, prosecuted at liberty in the Hamza mon bb case, was extended on Monday. This was decided by the investigating judge at the court of first instance in Marrakech.
This first hearing lasted 7 hours, reports Hespress. On this occasion, the singer Dounia Batma and her sister were faced with the singer Samira Daoudi, one of the plaintiffs in this case, and another accused, Soukaina Glamour, who is being prosecuted in detention.
Outside the court of first instance in Marrakech, there was an impressive number of people, including defenders of the singer and supporters of the victims, who were demonstrating. Some to proclaim the innocence of the accused, others to demand justice for the victims.
On Tuesday, it was time for the pleadings.
The sisters Dounia and Ibtissam Batma are being prosecuted for "defamation, obstruction of the functioning of an automated data processing system, invasion of privacy, blackmail and threats".
