Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma and Sister Face Court in High-Profile Defamation Case

The Batma sisters were back in court in Marrakech this Monday, February 10th. This was the first hearing to allow them to defend themselves on their involvement or not in the "Hamza mon bb" case that has been making headlines for several months.
Dounia Batma and her sister, Ibtissam, have been on provisional release on bail since the beginning of this case. They risk a lot if the prosecutor manages to prove their responsibility in this case of defamation, fraud, blackmail, extortion, etc. So many charges that weigh against the various defendants.
According to several videos that have been circulating on the web since this Monday morning, many people have stormed the entrance of the courthouse, in support of Dounia, while others are waiting to know the verdict of justice.
It was on December 30, 2019 that the investigating judge had decided to prosecute the Batma sisters, at liberty. The singer Dounia paid a bail, which was later raised by the judge, after Dounia tried to flee the national territory.
