Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Arrested at Airport Amid High-Profile Legal Case

Moroccan singer Dounia Batma was about to leave the territory when she was arrested by the police at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The artist is being prosecuted in a high-profile case and should under no circumstances leave the national territory.
Dounia Batma was accompanied by her husband, Muhammad al-Turk, and was about to board a plane for Bahrain, when she was prevented from boarding the plane on January 3. Admission of guilt or ignorance of legal norms? This attempt to travel during an ongoing investigation into a pending case before the courts sounds like a desire to escape. The singer was planning to leave Morocco before the end of the investigation into the "Hamza mon bb" case, in which she is being prosecuted at liberty, reports barlamane.com.
Dounia and Ibtissam Batma are being prosecuted for defamation, obstruction of the functioning of an automated data processing system, and invasion of privacy of individuals, as well as for resorting to blackmail and threats. Arrested, she was released after paying 400,000 dirhams as bail.
The judicial police had arrested Dounia Batma at Mohammed V Airport, immediately upon her return from Bahrain, before taking her to the headquarters of the national brigade of the judicial police in Casablanca, where she was questioned about her alleged involvement in the "Hamza mon bb" scandal.
