Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Faces Court in ’Hamza mon bb’ Scandal

On February 10, the Moroccan singer Dounia Batma will appear before the court of first instance in Marrakech. She has been summoned to answer for her involvement in the "Hamza mon bb" case.
This case could cost the singer dearly if the prosecutor manages to prove her guilt and involvement. At a minimum, Dounia Batma faces a sentence of one to three years in prison accompanied by a fine of up to 20,000 dirhams, notes le 360.
Since the outbreak of this case, bad news has only piled up for the singer. From the ban on leaving the national territory, to the increase in the bail for provisional release, to her arrest at the airport when she wanted to escape Morocco, nothing has been easy for her. Even if she hid behind incendiary statements like the day she claimed she "would never go to prison in this case".
The phones of each of the two sisters, Dounia and Ibtissam Batma, have been confiscated. They will be subject to technical expertise to determine the extent of the network behind the "Hamza mon bb" accounts.
The problems started for the two sisters when Soukaina Glamour, one of the accused in the case, had named them as important links in the network.
