Moroccan Singer Dounia Batma Awaits Trial in High-Profile Blackmail Case

Indicted and banned from leaving the territory for her alleged involvement in the Hamza mon bb case, the singer Dounia Batma prefers to entrust herself to God.
Summoned to appear in this case on February 10, Dounia Batma says she is serene and patiently awaits the day of her trial. She believes that her legal troubles are synonymous with a divine ordeal: "When God loves someone, he puts them to the test," she has hinted.
Since the outbreak of this case, she is being prosecuted with her sister for defamation, invasion of privacy of individuals, and use of blackmail and threats. The two sisters had been arrested and then released, after paying a bail of 400,000 DH, which was increased a few days later.
