Moroccan Sahara City Dakhla Tops Global Climate Ranking for 2024
The city of Dakhla, in the Moroccan Sahara, is the best place to live in 2024, according to a ranking carried out by Insider Monkey.
Dakhla was ranked at the top of this list due to its climate. "The number of months per year where average daytime temperatures are between 10°C and 30°C in Dakhla is 12. There are 40 days of precipitation per year. The annual number of sunshine hours is 3117," the authors of the ranking said.
The city of Los Angeles is in second place in this ranking. In this American city, "the number of months per year where average daytime temperatures are between 10°C and 30°C is 12. There are 35 days of precipitation per year. The annual number of sunshine hours is 3250," it is specified.
To compile this list of the 30 best places to live in the world based on weather, Insider Monkey relied on a list of countries from the 2023 Climate Index compiled by Global Residence Index. Thanks to Dakhla, Morocco obtained a score of 0.96 in this ranking, knowing that the best score is 1.
