Marrakech Tops List of Budget-Friendly Fall Travel Destinations

The car rental platform DiscoverCar has unveiled its top 10 least expensive destinations for a city trip this fall. To compile its ranking, the site took into account many factors such as the average price of a week in a hotel, rentals, the number of restaurants and hotels offering good value for money, average temperatures and average rainfall in millimeters.

With an overall score of 108/144, Marrakech tops the ranking. The ochre city owes this position to several assets. "Here, the price of a week in a hotel is set at €198, the cheapest amount in the ranking. As for renting a car, it will cost you €64 per week. Another asset of the Moroccan locality is its average temperature in the months of September, October and November where the mercury is around 19 degrees," comments So Soir.

Seville (Spain) ranks second. The Spanish city is followed by Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid and Barcelona. Then come Venice (Italy), Budapest (Hungary) and two Italian cities, Rome and Florence. With a final score of 77/144, Bruges (Belgium) closes the podium.
