Morocco: a fascinating culture ranked at the top worldwide

Morocco surpasses Australia, Italy and Thailand in the global ranking of countries with the most fascinating cultures.
Morocco ranks 10th in the global ranking of the 15 countries with the most fascinating cultures, ahead of Australia, Italy and Thailand, established by Insider Monkey, an American investment specialist. The kingdom owes its position to its magnificent landscapes, its dynamic cities and its traditional but diverse culture. "This North African country has had many influences over the centuries and presents a rich cross-pollination of craftsmanship and arts," notes the site. Japan, China and India form the global top 3.
To compile this ranking, Insider Monkey took into account sources such as Insight Vacations, Travel + Leisure and Reddit. Then the site only selected the countries that appeared several times in these sources, assigned them a score based on their number of appearances, and ranked them accordingly. When two or more countries obtain the same score, they are ranked rather based on the number of foreign tourists they welcomed in 2022, it explains.
"In addition to instilling a strong sense of identity among the population, cultural tourism also brings in billions of dollars and creates thousands of jobs for local economies," Insider Monkey points out. And to add: "Investing in the preservation of cultural heritage not only safeguards our common history, but also transforms destinations into dynamic and culturally enriched tourist attractions, thus enhancing their viability and contributing to their sustainability."
