Moroccan Runner Wins World’s Longest Desert Ultramarathon in Dubai

Another victory for Rachid El Morabity. The Moroccan has just won the "Meraas Al Marmoom Ultramarathon 2018".
Considered the longest marathon des sables in the world, it was covered in just over 30 hours by the Moroccan, ahead of Frenchman Muriel Robert and Iranian Akbar Najdi Niryan.
In the women’s category, Moroccan Aziza Raji takes second place behind American Magdalena Boulet who covered the distance in 37h and 27 minutes and ahead of Russian athlete Oskana Riyapova.
Several hundred athletes from 35 countries participated in this marathon des sables.
