Ethiopian Runners Sweep Top Spots in 30th Marrakech Marathon

The Ethiopians largely dominated yesterday’s Marrakech marathon, which saw the participation of more than 9,000 participants for its 30th edition.
In the Men’s category, it was the Ethiopian Fikadu Girma Teferi who won by running the distance in 2h:08min:43s, followed by the Kenyan Maina Paul Muchemi (2:08:49) and the other Ethiopian Dinbushe Bira Seboka (2:09:56).
Among the women, it was the Ethiopian Zewdu Asefa Mulunesh who won the title by running this event in 2h:29:57.
As for the half marathon, it was dominated by the Moroccans with the victory of Abderrahmane Kachir in the men’s event, who won the race by covering the distance in 1h03 and 59 seconds, while in the women’s event it was Hajiba Hasnoui who stood out with a time of 1h10 and 36 seconds.
