Moroccan Royal Guard Fatally Stabbed in Tangier Robbery Attempt

The city of Tangier was shaken on Sunday evening by a vicious crime committed in the city center. A member of the Royal Gendarmerie, assigned to the Royal Palace of Tangier, was fatally stabbed by 3 individuals.
While walking near the Press House in Tangier, a gendarme was surprised by 3 individuals who wanted to relieve him of his wallet and mobile phone. Having fiercely resisted, the man was stabbed in the heart.
The 28-year-old man, who had just celebrated his wedding, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Originally from Salé, the gendarme was in charge of the surveillance of the royal palace of Tangier.
An arrest warrant against the 3 suspects was issued by the national brigade of the judicial police of Tangier.
