Moroccan Protesters Attacked in Paris, Plan Legal Action Against Polisario Front

During a peaceful gathering in Paris, Moroccans from France supporting the Moroccanness of the Sahara were attacked by Polisario "mercenaries". The Union of Moroccan Associations of Essonne has decided to file a complaint for assault and battery.
"Our gathering for the Moroccanness of the Sahara and against the enemies of our country was taking place peacefully when Polisario mercenaries, backed by thugs, emerged with sticks to attack people," said Mohamed Rakoub, president of the Union of Moroccan Associations of Essonne and president of the France-Morocco Friendship Association, to Atlasinfo.
He said he himself received blows while trying to protect an elderly woman. "In total, nine people were injured by these baltagias," he specified, adding that the Union he chairs will file a complaint against "these Polisario mercenaries and these thugs who support them."
On Saturday, hundreds of Moroccans from France gathered in the Place de la République in Paris to support Morocco’s intervention aimed at ending the blockade of the El Guerguerat border post by Polisario militiamen, to proclaim the Moroccanness of the Sahara and defend the territorial integrity of the kingdom.
