Moroccan Protester Arrested at Mosque for Anti-Israel Normalization Demonstration

An individual was arrested on Friday for expressing his refusal of the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel. The incident took place at the Mellah mosque in Settat.
While about a hundred worshippers were listening to the imam’s sermon, an individual brandished a placard expressing his refusal of Morocco’s decision to normalize its relations with the State of Israel.
The man was arrested and placed in police custody at the Settat police station, pending his appearance in court, reports the Akhbarona website.
After the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan, the kingdom is the fourth country to have resumed diplomatic relations with Israel. Announced on Thursday by US President Donald Trump, the news was confirmed a few minutes later by a statement from the Royal Cabinet.
