Moroccan Prime Minister Reaches Out to Belgian Tourist Stabbed in Agadir Attack

The President of the Agadir Municipal Council, Aziz Akhannouch, had a telephone conversation with the Belgian national who was attacked with a knife in a cafe on the Corniche of the city. The Head of Government wanted to inquire about the health status of the tourist and renew his solidarity and closeness of thought in this ordeal.
During this interview, Akhannouch reassured the Belgian national that the local authorities will take care of her health status until she recovers. As for Mostafa Boudarka, Ahmed Haji and Rachid Boukhraf, respectively the first deputy president of the city council, the Wali of the Souss region and the vice-president of the regional council, they went to the bedside of the victim hospitalized in the intensive care unit at the Hassan II hospital. Her condition is considered stable by the medical staff.
The Municipal Council had condemned this aggression described as "contrary to human values and the sacred nature of the right to life". As part of the investigations carried out by the police, a 31-year-old suspect has been arrested.
