Moroccan Prime Minister El Othmani Struggles with Public Image Ahead of 2021 Elections

The Head of the Moroccan Government sees the image projected of him in the media in a bad light. According to Maghreb intelligence, in recent days, he has severely attacked his entourage because of certain photos of him, which are making the headlines of all the newspapers in the country.
El Othmani is concerned about his image and has even surrounded himself, according to the newspaper, with certain external collaborators to better sell it, in the run-up to the 2021 elections.
But, it seems, in vain, since a Casablanca professional, a crisis communication specialist, thinks that "it is practically impossible to sell the ’El Othmani’ image."
It is simply not marketable and it becomes worse when we mix his photos as party leader and those of the Head of the Executive. And, according to the critics, El Othmani does nothing himself to correct the situation.
Even the recent recruitment in his office of the former State Secretary for Higher Education, Khalid Samadi, risks dealing a blow to his image and developing the enmity of part of the PJD leadership and its base.
