Moroccan PM Praises Collaboration with King Mohammed VI on National Strategies
During the monthly session of oral questions in the Moroccan parliament, the Head of Government, Saâdeddine El Othmani, declared himself very satisfied with his relationship with King Mohammed VI.
The Sovereign, he indicated, oversees all national strategic plans, while the strategies put in place by the Executive fully benefit from his approval during the Council of Government.
El Othmani regrets seeing the name of His Majesty mixed up in such a debate, specifying that "the opposition is experiencing a moment of confusion, by involving the name of the king in the debate". He added that "at the constitutional level, all major plans are supervised by the king, and the strategies are endorsed by the Council of Government".
The head of the Executive questions the attitude of the opposition which, according to him, "seeks contradictions where there are none", expressing his astonishment at the stance of the Istiqlal party, "a party that has been represented in the government for 20 years".
