Moroccan Prime Minister Awaits Royal Approval for Cabinet Reshuffle

The resumption of negotiations around the next ministerial reshuffle is conditional on the response from the palace. This is what should be noted after Saad Eddine El Othmani, the Head of Government, transmitted to King Mohammed VI a report on the first stage of negotiations with the governing coalition.
The ministerial reshuffle is still far from effective. After the transmission of the report on the first negotiations with the political parties gathered within the governing coalition, the time is for waiting.
In his report, Saad Eddine El Othmani focused on the mechanism to lead to the much-desired reshuffle by the King during his Throne Speech on July 29. For the Head of Government, only the favorable opinion of the palace could determine the next steps on this file.
A source from TelQuel Arabi also confirmed that the party of Saad Eddine El Othmani did not discuss "any name" or the allocation of portfolios during a meeting of the General Secretariat of the Lamp Party, held on August 26.
"The only decision taken so far and which frames the actions of the Head of Government is that the negotiations be carried out with the six parties of the majority," the same source said.
