Moroccan Prime Minister Akhannouch Remains RNI Party Leader Despite Resignation Rumors
Rumors about the resignation of Aziz Akhannouch from the leadership of the Rassemblement national des indépendants (RNI) party on Sunday are unfounded, according to some members of the Political Bureau.
According to Mustapha Baitass, a member of the party’s political bureau, Akhannouch has not resigned and is still president of the RNI. According to him, these rumors are "a tendentious campaign aimed at undermining the party and harming its success and active presence on the political scene".
Following him, Hassan Ben Omar, another member of the party’s Political Bureau, said that no one can prevent the party president or members of his political bureau from exercising political action.
