Moroccan Political Leader Akhannouch Seeks Agadir Mayoral Seat in Upcoming Election

The president of the Rassemblement national des indépendants (RNI), Aziz Akhannouch, filed his candidacy for the mayor of Agadir on Monday, August 16.
Aziz Akhannouch announced that he is the first candidate to file his application with the local authorities. He is at the head of a list of young party executives who, according to him, have great experience and a solid knowledge of the economic sector. The RNI leader is convinced that his list has every chance of winning the next municipal election to be held on September 8.
During the press conference, the Minister of Agriculture also presented the candidates who will participate in the other elections to be held on September 8. This is the case, for example, of Karim Achenkli, who will lead the party’s list for the legislative elections in the Agadir-Ida Outanane constituency. He is replacing Brahim Hafidi, president of the Souss-Massa region, the current general manager of the National Agency for the Development of Oasis Zones and the Argan Tree (Andzoa).
