Moroccan Police Seize 2 Kilos of Heroin, Arrest Suspected Trafficker in Tangier

The fight against drug trafficking frequently sees its share of arrests and seizures. Last Friday, September 13, the Judicial Police Brigade of the Béni Makada Security District in Tangier proceeded to arrest a 31-year-old man. He would be, pending the results of the investigation, involved in a case of possession and trafficking of heroin.
The arrested man is not the only harvest of the investigations carried out by the Judicial Police. We also talk about 2 kilos of heroin and an amount of 198,710 dirhams, suspected to come from drug and psychotropic trafficking, which were seized.
The accused was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the ins and outs of this case and to identify any possible national and international links.
These details were provided by a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), which stressed the determination of the Moroccan authorities to intensify their actions in the fight against drug and other narcotic trafficking.
