Moroccan Police Capture Elusive Drug Kingpin with 21 Outstanding Warrants

A man with 21 national arrest warrants was arrested on Thursday, October 10 by the Judicial Police in Casablanca. He would be wanted for drug and psychotropic trafficking, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The series of investigations launched to locate Ben Yakhlef never prospered. With 21 arrest warrants to his credit, he was finally arrested in the suburbs of Mohammedia.
According to the MAP, the numerous searches carried out at his home resulted in the seizure of various caliber bladed weapons, an identity card, a forged driver’s license bearing the suspect’s photo and erroneous identifying data.
In order to elucidate the circumstances of this case and to determine all the criminal acts attributed to him, the defendant was placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, the same source said.
