Moroccan Police Seize 600 Kilos of Hashish Hidden in Sewers, Arrest Two Suspects

The Judicial Police of the city of Zagora arrested two men and seized 600 kilograms of hashish. It was on Sunday, June 23, 2019. They had been hidden in the sewers of a nearby rural commune.

Based on precise information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), the Judicial Police of Zagora were able to apprehend two people suspected of being involved in large-scale drug and psychotropic trafficking. They are, according to the media Goud, which is based on a statement from the DGSN, aged 25 and 30 years old.

In addition to this arrest, which took place very early on the Sunday concerned, the police were able to seize 600 kilos of hashish, carefully prepared for shipment, and which had been hidden in sewers near Taghbalte, a rural commune in the Province of Zagora. It is exactly 24 bales full of cannabis.

A 4x4 used by the offenders to transport the drugs was also seized. The two individuals were apprehended and placed in custody, pending the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. Potential accomplices could be arrested in the coming days.
