Moroccan Police Refute Reports of Niqab-Wearing Attackers in Tinghir

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has categorically denied reports of attacks in Tinghir by individuals wearing the niqab.
In order to dispel any sense of insecurity that these reports could generate among citizens, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) stated in a press release that the Tinghir security services have opened an investigation involving all the actors related to this story.
According to the press release, no such criminal act has been recorded.
The national security services also claim to have coordinated with the local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie, assuring that they have not detected or recorded any attempt or criminal act similar to the one mentioned in the online publication.
Nevertheless, the Tinghir security services say they are stepping up security operations in the perimeter of schools in order to prevent any form of crime, as well as to allow students to study in complete safety, without fear of being assaulted.
