Moroccan Police Officer Kills Wife Over Suspected Infidelity, Surrenders to Authorities

It took no more than a suspicion of adultery for a police sergeant to end the life of his wife. Furious, he fired three shots at her with his service weapon, then turned himself in at the police station in the neighborhood.
According to the daily Assabah, the tension rose to a new level on the night of Saturday, August 31 to Sunday, September 1, when the sergeant had detected a man’s scent on his wife. Enraged, he ended up committing the unthinkable by shooting her three times.
The next day, he voluntarily turned himself in to the police station, confessing to having killed his wife at the family home, in the Sidi Moussa neighborhood in Salé.
The suspect was taken into custody while an investigation was opened by the Provincial Judicial Police Service to determine the circumstances of the crime.
