Moroccan Police Informant Exposes Corruption, Seeks Protection After Threats

An informant threatened him and his family because of the services he rendered to the police, has just denounced in a video several corrupt police officers in Salé, while asking for protection.
This informant explains that the police officers and high-ranking officers to whom he had repeatedly rendered service have abandoned him once they no longer needed him, thus leaving him and his family in danger.
According to Al Massae, which reveals this information, he also named several allegedly corrupt police officers who receive bribes from all kinds of traffickers, in Salé, in the Oulad Moussa neighborhood. He would even have audio recordings to support his accusations.
Some officials would also have asked him, after the arrest of individuals, to approach the latter as a facilitator to offer them freedom or reduced charges in exchange for sums of money. And he complied.
Abdellatif Hammouchi, the Director General of the National Security Directorate (DGSN), has ordered that an administrative and judicial investigation be opened to unravel this whole story, establish responsibilities and sanction or send the corrupt police officers behind bars.
