Moroccan Police Fire Warning Shots to Arrest Intoxicated Suspects Near Rabat

Shots were fired by the police in an attempt to arrest two individuals this Sunday morning in Khémisset, about 80 km from Rabat.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) provides the details in a press release. Thus, two warning shots were fired in order to arrest two brothers, one of whom is known to the police. The latter "deliberately hit a police car and seriously endangered the police elements during their attempt to flee."
"The two suspects, who were in an advanced state of intoxication and in a light vehicle, deliberately hit a police patrol, causing material damage," the DGSN said.
The two men were finally arrested near their home, the DGSN said, adding that they have both been taken into custody as part of the investigation and will soon be brought before the courts.
