Moroccan Police Deny Obstructing Al Amazighiya Journalists During Ramadan Report

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has formally denied the accusations of the organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF) regarding the assault on Al Amazighiya journalists by its elements and a caïd of Tifelt.
False! No team of journalists from the "Al Amazighiya" channel was prevented from making a report, on the occasion of the month of Ramadan. In a clarification, the DGSN clarified the situation.
According to the institution, its officials at the regional police station in Tiflet did not carry out any intervention against any journalist in the exercise of his duties, and did not in any way oppose the filming of a report by the Al Amazighiya team.
The DGSN also states that it has responded favorably to all filming requests made by the national and international media regarding the accompaniment of the security action in the management of the covid-19 pandemic, specifying that several reports dealing with the security aspect in the management of this pandemic are currently being filmed, in collaboration with the DGSN and Al Amazighiya.
It also invited the media at the origin of these publications to approach its central and regional services, to ensure the veracity of the information.
